We offer more than 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor Dog Daycare play space. Outside, dogs enjoy multiple secure yards with artificial turf, shaded structures for protection from the Texas heat, and wading pools on warm days (over 80 degrees). These features create a splash-park-style experience for water-loving breeds. Inside, our play areas are fully climate-controlled to ensure comfort during extreme heat, cold, or rainy weather. When conditions allow, we move outdoors for fresh air and added enrichment. Adventurous pups can also explore jungle gym–style play equipment designed to encourage climbing, exploration, and active fun.

Our Approach
We offer Dog Daycare 2.0 in Dallas, TX, a program built on the latest dog behavioral research. Studies show that dogs are much like toddlers, and when left in open play groups all day, they can become overstimulated. This overstimulation often leads to aggression and exhaustion.
Structured Playtime for Balanced Energy
To prevent overstimulation, our program follows a structured schedule. Each play group enjoys an active session in the morning and another in the afternoon. In between, dogs rest in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms. This routine supports their natural circadian rhythms, as dogs are meant to take multiple restful naps throughout the day.
Our goal is not to exhaust your dog but to send them home calm, content, and relaxed so you can still enjoy their company after a busy workday.
Temperament Test & Grouping
Before joining the play, every guest completes a temperament test to confirm they are “DOG FRIENDLY.” After that, we divide them into four different groups based on size, age, play style, and temperament. This way, each pup is placed where they can have fun and, more importantly, stay safe.
At Underdog Kennels Dog Daycare and Boarding, multiple Dog Daycare attendants supervise every group at ALL TIMES. The health and safety of our guests remain our top priority.
VIP Group for Special Care
If we determine your dog is not “dog-friendly” or not a good fit for open playgroups, they join our VIP Group instead. In this group, they enjoy walks with our staff along with extra ear scratches, cuddles, and tummy rubs. This special handling has an additional charge of $4 per day.

All Overnight Boarding Guests go out 4 times each day for bathroom breaks. Complimentary Daycare is included with all Overnight Boarding stays. Our Overnight Boarding guests receive Daycare 7 days per week.
For anyone checking out Monday thru Friday, you are welcome to stay past the standard 11:00 AM Checkout Time, but will be charged $18 for a Late Checkout – Extra Playtime Fee, and can stay until 7:00 PM.

1. What is Daycare 2.0?
It is our structured daycare program built on the latest dog behavioral research. Instead of all-day open play, dogs get an active session in the morning and another in the afternoon, with rest time in their own private rooms in between. The goal is to send your dog home calm and happy, not wired and exhausted.
2. How are the dogs grouped during the day?
After a temperament test, we split dogs into four groups based on size, age, play style, and temperament. That way each pup plays with the right friends and stays safe.
3. Is a temperament test required?
Yes. Every guest does a temperament test first so we can confirm they are dog-friendly before joining a play group.
4. What happens if my dog is not great with other dogs?
No problem. Dogs who are not a good fit for open play join our VIP Group, where they get walks with our staff plus extra ear scratches, cuddles, and tummy rubs. There is a $4 per day charge for this one-on-one care.
5.How much play space is there?
Over 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Outside there are multiple play yards with turf, shade, and wading pools on hot days. Inside is fully climate-controlled, with jungle gym style equipment for the adventurous pups.
6. What are the age and vaccination requirements?
Dogs must be at least 4 months old and fully vaccinated for Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo, and Canine Influenza. Dogs over 6 months need to be spayed or neutered, and we cannot accept unaltered male dogs over 2 years old.
7. Do I need to do anything before my dog's first day?
Yes, a free Meet & Greet is required before your dog’s first daycare day so we can get acquainted and make sure it is a good fit.
8. What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel. For national holidays and spring breaks, we need 72 hours notice or an amount equal to two nights’ stay is charged.
